At Simond, our prototypers ensure our ideas become reality. Ergonomics is at the heart of our design. Every prototype is considered, redesigned, and optimized until it reaches the targeted standard of excellence and follows your movements without ever restricting them.
Our Chamonix center is a living laboratory, where over 800 products are put to the test in real-world conditions. In-house climbing walls and a drop tower allow us to perfect gear to meet the highest standards of mountain experts. Just beyond our doors, the Mont Blanc massif serves as the ultimate proving ground, where every design faces the uncompromising reality of the mountains.
Our Base Camp is more than a design center, it’s our factory, that last of its kind in the Chamonix valley. Since 1860, generations of skilled workers have crafted our gear here, blending traditional know-how with modern technology. Every metal product is made and hand-assembled on site. By controlling the full production cycle, from raw materials to final packaging, we ensure mastery at every step, with ISO 9001 certified quality as our guarantee.

Inside our 4,000 m² facility, including 1,500 m² dedicated to production, traditional know-how meets experience-guided innovation, with a drop tower, strength-testing labs, climbing walls, and prototyping workshops ensuring performance and safety.
